Job Description

LeapFrog Interactive (LFI) is looking for a Web Development Intern to join its dynamic LeapFrog Jump (www.leapfrogjump.com) team. If you are passionate about advertising, have a background in web development and are excited to learn the ins and outs of the industry, please apply below.

The Web Development Intern will assist the Jump team with small projects as well as monthly maintenance tasks. The Web Development Intern will be expected to not only implement code, but also populate sites within various content management systems including WordPress. Candidates should have strong communication skills and be able to multitask in a high-paced environment.

Candidates should be enrolled in a college or university as a junior or senior studying web development, computer science or related field. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, which are comprised of written and verbal capabilities. He/She should also have a passion for developing new and unique solutions while working in a close-knit environment.

Reports to the Jump Director and Jump Interactive Developer.

Skills

  • Analyze, review and modify websites by maintaining, documenting, testing and coding.
  • Determine architecture, build, etc. for new and existing web projects.
  • Work closely with the Jump team to develop training or development documents for various small projects.
  • Assist in implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) website updates.
  • Code web pages utilizing CSS and XHTML as well as programming languages including JavaScript, SQL and PHP.
  • Provide prompt answers to requests in order to determine how to convey concise, clear, and timely selective information.
  • Monitoring websites and email for tracking communications related to the brand of a company.

    What you need!

    • Experience with PHP/HTML/XHTML and CSS.
    • Development experience using web authoring tools.
    • Experience implementing open source software.
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills.
    • Good understanding of major operating systems.
    • Work collaboratively and efficiently as a team member.
    • Desire to stay updated on new web technologies.
    • Minimum GPA: 3.0
