I actually feel that the look is really relevant to the city of London and punk music. Punk originated in London and was a huge part of the culture and had massive effects on that city, even if you're not a fan of The Clash or The Sex Pistols if you had 80's hair and wore ripped jeans you were influenced by punk rock! One thing I agree on though is that 800k for a logo seems sort-of insane. I'm partial to London, I've never been there but I went through a DIY (do-it-yourself) phase in college. I listened to a killer post-punk band from London called 'Wire' way too much. Oh yeah and the logo is hot pink, ancient Rome would be proud! I happen to really dig the London 2012 logo!
