A stable and secure development environment is critical to our work. And when it comes to stability, Carl is about as secure as they come. In fact, he and his team make it their dedicated mission to maintain this high standard at LFI and ensure that our clients never know how hard we work behind the scenes.
He's a hard-nosed pragmatist. A talented systems analyst. And an everlasting optimist. Imagine an award-winning I.T. director without all the social issues, and Boom!, you have Carl. With precision and personality, he is equally as comfortable balancing data flows between LeapFrog's data centers as he is presenting a new recommendation to a client. His efforts have built a stable, sustainable, and scalable infrastructure and a process-focused development environment that serves every client, from Fortune 500 companies to niche-oriented small businesses.
Carl's responsibilities stretch from our own development platforms, to versioning control and standards, to procedures for application products we provide to our clients. If that sounds technical, it's because Carl is a technical kind of guy. His military background brings a process-rich approach that works to find the glitches long before they reach the client.
Carl received his degree in Computer Networking from RETS before eventually earning credentials as a CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), and a CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician). He is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a Microsoft Research Panel member, and a member of both the League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) and Network and Systems Professionals Association (NaSPA). He even holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do—making him all the better at dropkicking technical issues so that we can make our magic.
